Bring LEARNING to LIFE

I have decided to take up the challenge of going for the final module to get myself the INSEAD Online Certification: Leading in a Transforming World at the last minute. I am still taking my Advanced Certification in Learning & Performance (ACLP) and managing my business during that time. Nevertheless, I decided to go for it.

Part of it is my “Sunk Cost Fallacy” at work, which tells me I should not stop my “investment” halfway. The next part is for the 40% discount for the 3rd module within the two years to get the certification. The rest of that is history, and it ends up being a timely course that allows me to bring my learning to life.

“…we soon realised that you don’t learn to walk by following rules, you learn by doing and by falling over.” — Sir Richard Branson

We need to realise four challenges and determine how they are relevant to my organisation. The challenges are Decision, Change, Political, and Culture. As I approach these challenges, I am applying them to a consulting work that I am working on and the organisation change for my business. So the final submission evolves around the transformation work that I have for my business, taking what I am learning and putting that immediately to use.

This approach helps me solidify my learning and make it relevant to that otherwise theoretical knowledge that I am getting. It helps me appreciate those content much better and allows me to work out plans to focus my business in 2022. Using those pillars, I can build up my business transformation framework and have the clarity to share with all my team members.

Thus, my advice to those attending lessons, hoping to gain knowledge and give value to their organisation. The best is to put them into practice, bring those “lifeless” theories to life, and we can appreciate them better. In return, you might get something unexpected, like what I have received.
