Yes, you might be my follower or like what I write, but I am far from a good writer. What I am doing is to do my best to articulate my thoughts and share them with you. If I am doing a good job and have at least 100 followers, then Medium could reward me with a small token as a fee.

Why do I keep writing when I do not have the minimum number of followers to earn something from this platform?

While I am not yet a good writer, I decided to keep writing as it has yielded positive outcomes. Writing helps me arrange my thoughts and brings out my inner thoughts that, is helping me solve some immediate situations that I am facing. It helps me continue moving forward and not procrastinating on my thoughts without tangible actions.

How can I constantly think of something to write?

It is not easy to constantly have something that I can write. I struggled with this when I was writing almost daily on LinkedIn. I reject writing a post to post a quote or just trying to write something to put up a post. Thus, I decided that I would not post if I did not have anything to post.

Having something to write might not be that difficult if we are mindful of our surroundings instead of burying ourselves into those devices consuming social media aimlessly. There are so many stories around us, each of us having our perspective on something different from another person. What we are writing is our story, and it could be helping something see things from another perspective.

What happened if NO ONE was reading my post?

This is something that bothers me too. Thus, I am posting the link of my post on LinkedIn and Facebook, attracting my connections to read these posts. However, Medium limits the number of articles that a non-subscriber can read.

While my challenge is writing three articles weekly, I only wrote one article last week due to work commitment. However, I realised that there are still people reading my old articles. This is the beautiful thing on Medium; readers on the platform continue to read my old articles. Unfortunately, such is often not the case for LinkedIn and Facebook.

When will I become a Good Writer?

If you start to embark on this journey, you will keep getting better each day. However, we do not determine if we are good or bad writers; our readers are our best gauge.

What is the definition of a good writer? My definition is that if my story can help or inspire one person, I have done something well, and I labelled myself a good writer. Your definition could be different from mine, and you define your own on what a good writer means to you.

As long as you keep on writing.
